Ms. Kristin
Mrs. K is a wife, mom/bonus mom to three kids (18, 15, and 11), dog mom, and an elementary educator.
She has over a decade of experience educating second and third grade students within the public system. Those experiences showed her the juxtaposition of her personal teaching philosophy and public education. In Fall of 2019, Kristin decided to hone her teaching skills and return to school. She earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus of Integrating Art Across Content Areas. In addition, she holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Finding herself buried with directives that took away from genuine engagement and enjoyment for her students, she realized it was time to forage a new path.

Ms. Katrina
Hi! Nice to meet you! I’m Ms. Katrina!
With over 20 years of experience teaching children of all ages - preschool through high school, I’ve discovered that the best way to learn is through play and hands-on experiences. I’m passionate about creating a classroom where kids feel empowered to explore, discover, and ask questions about the world around them. In my class, mistakes are embraced as opportunities to learn, and I love watching my students grow into creative thinkers and caring community members.
A little about me outside of school—I’m the proud "mom" to nearly 30 animals at home, including dogs, bunnies, chickens, turtles, parakeets, a chinchilla, a crested gecko, a fish, and one adult human! You could say I have a small zoo at home! And since my animals are frequent visitors in my classroom, you’re bound to meet at least one of them soon! We can't wait to meet you!

I specialize in bringing subjects to life in engaging, hands-on experiences (no boring worksheets here!). When I’m not teaching, I love traveling, writing, decorating, and moonlighting as a family and child photographer.
