Time Travelers and Tale Twisters!
Let's take a journey into the past to learn about the life and stories of children who came before us!
Through hands on projects, games, and crafts, we'll explore frontier, pioneer, and Westward Expansion in US and California history. Students will love immersive experiences, such as making their own ink, "churning" butter, adventure simulations, and building their own covered wagon. In addition, we’ll celebrate and learn about the indigenous peoples in our lands. We’ll also enjoy poetry and stories that bring language to life. Playful and creative activities introduce your student to important concepts like figurative language and imagery, all while being FUN!
This class will be full of experiential, hands-on learning, and cover several state standards for social studies, language arts, science, and STEM. In addition to fostering a love for learning, this class will forge friendships, build confidence, and encourage your child to blossom in their own unique learning style.
Class Days: Mondays or Tuesdays with Ms Jennie
Class Time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Duration: 15 weeks

Full STEAM Ahead!
Exploring our world through science and art.
In this class we will explore life around us through the eyes of famous and not so famous scientists. What makes the physical world work and what are science phenomena. There will be loads of STEM hands-on-learning with fun and exciting science experiments and we will be tackling engineering projects as we learn how things work, become better problem solvers, and logical thinkers.
Art will be a creative exploration of famous artists, art techniques, and expression. Some art may dovetail into our science/engineering projects or be a separate masterpiece.
Many state standards will be covered.
